Russ and Meriah and their family moved to Cincinnati from the Los Angeles area in 2004. They both grew up in the church, and have served in volunteer and full-time ministry positions; leading youth ministry, family ministry, small group ministry, and strategic planning for over 20 years in churches both in California and Ohio. Russ has also had experience in church leadership, teaching and preaching. Meriah has had the opportunity to coordinate children’s and nursery ministries as well. The Theisens began attending Landmark in 2012 and became members in 2013.
Russ is a middle school/high school history and Bible teacher at Miami Valley Christian Academy in Newtown. He is also an assistant varsity football coach and the head varsity baseball coach at MVCA. Russ has a BA in Christian Education from The Master’s University and an MA in Christian Apologetics from Biola University. He is currently working on his Doctorate in Education at Abilene Christian University.
Meriah has a degree in Elementary Education from Lassen College. She is currently pursuing a psychology degree from Biola University.
Russ and Meriah have 3 boys: Jordan, Caleb, and Ethan. They live in Amelia. In their free time (when it’s not sports season!) they enjoy movies, music, reading, cooking, and any beach related activity.
