Our attention today turns to how Jesus' disciples responded to his resurrection.
The goal is that these three weeks will help and aid us in our own response to the reality altering revelation of Jesus’ resurrection.
Week one, that’s today, we will walk with two disciples on the road to Emmaus talking with a strange man, and with hearts burning, begging him to stay for dinner, only to find Jesus revealing himself to them.
Week two, we will catch up with Peter after he denied and betrayed Jesus, and witness Jesus calling and restoring Peter back to himself.
Week three, we will take part in Jesus encountering “doubting” Thomas in an upper room and see for ourselves that Jesus really is far better than we could ever hope or imagine.
