Most of the time God is at work “behind the scenes.” moving the course of human history with no “obvious” intervention.
The most significant event in human history has occurred, and God does not send his press release to rulers or royalty, to religious leaders, to influencers of the day, the movers and shakers, to the in-crowd, to the “somebodies.” He sent it to Shepherds!
And not because they were the only people awake, but because they represented perfectly the kind of ministry that the prophecies predicted Messiah would have.
Every one of us gets the same thing…an open invitation from God to come to Jesus. And Jesus can still be found by all who seek him.
