BIG IDEA: The wicked will be judged, but the repentant will be rewarded.
1) Learn to hate evil and pray for the Lord to eradicate it within you and on earth (cf. Ephesians 4:31-32). I’m not saying, “Become hateful towards a world God loves”, but don’t be wishy-washy Christians who use grace and forgiveness to excuse stuff that destroys creation like the elders sang about (cf. Romans 5-6).
2) Ask God and others to kindly correct you, then repent and humbly accept help rather than trying to justify or save yourself.
3) Participate in making earth more like heaven, so Jesus can be seen ruling here and not just there. As you discuss these concepts with your people this week, remember that no one needs to take their next step alone--spiritual growth is a community project supported by the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, and their persecuted people!
